Visiting Pacifica (OPEN TO ALL)
[[ooc: Feel free to interact with Fujin anywhere in the locations listed in this post! (Though I know the one in the air is difficult for most characters, one can at least easily get his attention and he can come down) <3
Added note: The timing of this post, is roughly 3-4 days after Fujin's initial arrival. He spent most if not all of that time sound asleep as his body worked on healing itself. He was able to be cleared and leave sickbay once he woke up and got checked out. The day this log takes place is probably the day before the Enterprise leaves Pacifica (if I'm looking at the calendar right.)
I will most likely be tagging into the sickbay log when that comes up anyway so docs in sick bay can check up on him. :)]]
Arriving
After almost dying on arrival a mere few days ago (of which he slept most of those days), and still needing more rest to fully recover - visiting a foreign planet didn't seem like a good idea. But Fujin, separated from home and the life force of his own realm, insisted on it. He wanted to taste real air and be one with real winds. Real elements. Not whatever replicated environment the ship provided. His reasoning was that it would aid in recovering what energy he had lost both physically and energetically.
And so, the wind god had himself teleported down.
The moment his feet touched the sand of the white beaches, hearing the roar of the ocean waves and feeling the warmth of the sun and the salt kissed breezes - Fujin wrapped the winds about himself and shot straight up into the air. Sure it probably was a bad idea still as weakened as he was - but he was using the planet's winds, not his own so it would be fine, right? Besides, once he was hovering about a couple hundred feet up - all he could do was float with his eyes closed and arms spread, face towards the sun in absolute bliss.
It wasn't Earthrealm but by the Elder Gods it was wonderful.
Surprise nap/On the beach
Later, Fujin found a spot to relax on the sand under the shade of a tree. It was a spot close to the water where it was calmer and quieter. After being airborne for a while, he had grown quite tired. His intention was to meditate and enjoy the serenity of the area. But the warmth of the sand permeating his body and the natural world around him actually made him relaxed and drowsy. Sleep was a strange thing - and not something he really did. But there he was, sprawled on the warm sand comfortably and enjoying an impromptu nap.
Later, he even stayed so that he could enjoy the sunset and watch the stars come out. It had been a long time since he felt a peace such as this.
Marketplace
Fujin also took some time to wander the local marketplace, looking at the various foods and goods curiously. As an immortal, he didn't really need to eat to survive. But he really liked tea now and again. His long, braided white hair practically glowed in the sunlight, contrasting with his tanned skin as he walked along, content to people watch and decide if he wanted to try any food or drink while here. He was easy to spot considering his height and glowing white eyes. Anyone who spoke to him was met with a soft and polite word from the wind god.

On the beach
He probably looks awkward, clothed head to foot in the warm weather but that's never been a thought to occur to him as he closes his eyes, sensing the winds, and smelling the sea salt on the breeze. Opening them, he wonders if perhaps, this wasn't such a bad idea. It felt refreshing to be even on a strange world, compared to the sterile one of the ship above.
It's not so easy finding Fujin without the Jinsei, but there's still enough of a connection, and he asks around enough, that eventually he finds his brother, and is surprised to find him sprawled contentedly in the sand under the shade of a tree.
The breeze whispers through the trees, and with a weary sigh, he simply walks over, and claims a nearby piece of shade that's far enough away to hopefully keep from waking Fujin, but more than close enough to make his presence known once he was. It was strange, his knees settling into the warm sand and looking out over the scene before him and knowing here he had no responsibility. It was empty, yet freeing. And here he had a chance to share it with his brother, who was at least resting for now.

Raiden hadn't been there for very long, when the wind god sighed happily and stretched, not caring that he was lying on the sand directly. He raised his head, spotting his brother and blinked squintily - traces of sand lining the angles of his cheek.
He knew then as awareness returned that the thunder god probably wasn't pleased that he came down here. But Fujin was in too much of a good mood to worry about it. Instead, his lips quirked up in a slight grin as if to say 'you expected me to stay cooped up on a ship near a planet like this?'
no subject
"I'm glad to see you're feeling better." There's a slight undertone of chiding, but it's not entirely meant. Raiden visibly inhales, closing his eyes and...settling as he kneels in the sand. His shoulders drop a little as he attempts to give into the beauty of the natural surroundings.

"This isn't Earthrealm, but you have to admit it holds an amount of charm." Fujin stated. "I have all ready drifted on the winds and by the elder gods it was wonderful." He lowered his eyes. They were still not at their usual brightness, but at least they were glowing in a healthy way.
"I am not looking forward to leaving with the ship. It's too contained and artificial." He added in distaste. The wind god valued his freedom like the wind itself - and hated to be restrained.
no subject
"I understand." Experiencing a false storm on the holodeck had been a painful reminder of how far he'd been from home before Fujin had arrived. "But we will endure. The ones who brought us here will not be able to hold us forever if we stay together."
no subject
"They transported me down here. Can you imagine?" He glanced back at his brother with a quirked eyebrow. Humans back home didn't have that capability and here, they were doing it with machines. "Once my feet touched the ground, I couldn't help myself. I had to go up there for a little while." He sighed. "The planet's winds were sufficient to carry me. I can do the same for you if you want to just drift for a little while." Though his personal energy levels weren't at their best yet, using the planet's elements were simple.
Raiden's words had a sobering effect. There was something about this planet that made him feel very light hearted. He nodded after a few moments. "We always do, don't we..." He murmured softly. "I wish to know more about who brought us here." He said finally, voice harder. They hadn't had the chance to be able to have a detailed conversation about anything since he arrived due to him not being awake.
no subject
He can't help the faintest hint of a frown at Fujin's offer to lift him on a breeze, his eyes opening but not daring to glance over. He doesn't want to ruin his brother's good mood after the rough arrival. They will resume their usual exchanges soon enough, Raiden knows himself too well to expect anything less.
"They call themselves the Q." He ventures after letting the breeze hush through the leaves overhead for a few blissful moments. "I haven't figured out exactly what they are, but they are nearly as powerful as the Elder gods. Perhaps equal to them, in this universe." He gives an annoyed sigh, letting his eyes cast upwards to the blue skies as his tone also expresses his frustration. "And they are chaotic. I was unable to reason with them when I arrived."
no subject
"And why have they brought both of us here?" He asked quietly. "What could possibly be the purpose of that?" It left Earthrealm undefended. Sure the realm had capable warriors, but the Jinsei. That was their responsibility. It was vulnerable now. He reached up and rubbed at his face. Normally, he was really good at putting pieces together to figure things out due to living as long as he has. But...now. He was so muddled and confused. Disoriented. Yes, still very frightened. Though he had a better control of that, it never went away.

"Do you think that the Q is in an alliance with Kano and Quan Chi, or do you think that it is just unfortunate coincidence that trapped you here?" He said finally, rubbing his temples and trying to sort out his thoughts. He felt at a loss, and it wasn't a feeling he was used to. He always had a wise word to offer his old friend or a suggestion to help with a situation. But now? Nothing.
"The only hope I can give you is that time may run differently between this universe and ours." He said finally. "So that when we return it would be as we never left. All we can do now is hope." He glanced over at Raiden with a small nod. "You are right though. What one was not able to do alone - perhaps we can succeed together."
no subject
At Fujin's hope, Raiden couldn't help the huff of amusement that betrayed him.
"Others stranded here here have said the same to me. That hope remains, as does the determination that we will prevail." Raiden feels a tenseness in his spine relaxing, the brim of his hat raising up as another breeze floats through their spot and he welcomes the refreshing air. "Elder gods willing..."

Sitting here on this world among the elements was a small piece of peace. Since they were to leave soon, he knew he had to savor it as much as possible.
He absently made a motion with his hand, causing the breeze to create gentle whorls and swirls in the sand in intricate patterns. Just being able to do so was a reminder that he was an elemental. Not as weak and mortal and vulnerable as he felt. So human.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw Raiden's hat tilt up, and felt happy that his brother was at least trying to enjoy the surroundings. He pointed a finger subtly and a breeze gusted and caused his hat to go off kilter, almost blowing off. Well. This nasty business was still going to exist later. Right now, they needed this and Fujin was going to help him enjoy it.
no subject
Only to crack one open and just watch, suspicious of his brother, as if daring him to try that again.
no subject
So soon after what he had experienced and what he had lost, he needed this. To ground himself among the elements as an elemental and to taste the air. It was the only way he could think of to cope with being so weak. So vulnerable. He had come down here after barely crawling out of the bed in sickbay, and he didn't regret a moment.
So far, he had drifted on the winds and had enjoyed the warmth of the sand and the fire of the sun. He had yet to fully enjoy the water. And he had full intention of enjoying all of that again before they departed.
With a soft sigh, he worked on removing his gauntlets and arm bands, depositing them in the sand with his shoes and shin guards. Then he undid the wide belt at his waist, shrugging off the sleeveless tunic and shoulder guards. Thankfully his clothing had been cleaned and repaired and were good as new. He couldn't figure out why Raiden insisted on covering up so much - and they'd worked together for eons. He couldn't do it. It was too restrictive a habit for his tastes.
Now bared, except for the pants that he wore, Fujin got to his feet slowly and stiffly, his tanned muscled back facing Raiden as he looked out over the ocean. He just stood there for a few moments as he got his equilibrium - not wanting to worry his brother further about his condition. His body, though physically healed, was still generating blood and energy (though at a much faster rate than a mortal - especially so with all the sleeping he'd been doing). So he still felt a bit light headed at times when moving from a prone position or sitting up.
He allowed the breezes to surround him like a comforting blanket, causing his hair to ruffle and long braid to sway.
"I shall enjoy the elements for a little bit longer. Care to join me?"
no subject
The shedding of armor comes as a mild surprise, and Raiden's expression grows faintly confused until Fujin states his purpose and asks Raiden to join him. Fujin always seemed so much more at ease, and as he wraps that wind around him, Raiden can see his brother is trying to regain his balance with all that is.
Raiden has been fighting the emptiness left by the Jinsei with anything he could find to fill his time with some purpose, or focusing on a way back. He hasn't given himself the opportunity, or had a planet, to try and find his equilibrium. He had kept plowing forward, hoping to eventually break through some unknown obstacle in his way.
He sighs, still feeling the weight of Earthrealm's protection heavy upon his shoulders, he had been feeling more like the mortal's fable of Atlas when it came to his task. The burden was not lifted here, but seeing Fujin indulging in the air, land and soon the sea, did stir a desire to be released of it for a little while.
"Shortly." He nods, still undecided if he wishes to make good on that word as he feels the breeze through his hat again. The brim lowers, and uncertainly he reaches out, letting his fingertips drag through the sand, drawing shallow lines as they went.
no subject
But here....they were cut off from home. Here was a chance to at least be free from that burden. Just for a little while. It didn't mean that they didn't care or that their opinions on their duties changed. Being separated from the Jinsei clearly hurt Raiden as much as it did Fujin. This was a way to ease that pain. Fujin prayed that Raiden could see this. He was an elemental just as much as he was. An element in physical form.
"Perhaps later we can create a contained squall to ease your worries." Fujin said, knowing how his brother enjoyed storms. He could create part of one, but it was usually a combined effort between the two of them. He used the winds around him to lift him up and he sat cross legged on the air. He honestly didn't feel like walking right now.
He eyed the cove they were situated in, assessing. A squall might be better further out where there wouldn't be risk of people. But here? Perhaps a water spout - if Raiden wasn't going to the water, perhaps Fujin could bring the water to Raiden.
no subject
At the mention of creating a squall, though, Fujin immediately has his attention. With a resigned sigh, he digs his hand into the sand and picks up a fistful, letting it drain through his fingers with a faint smile.
"I would like that." After the complete disappointment of the holodeck, the promise of a storm actually brought some of that familiar spark into his eyes. With a sigh, and knowing his brother, Raiden finally stands and approaches the surf. He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath and lifting the brim of his hat so he can really feel the sun on his face.
no subject
The wind god hovered, rising a few feet into the air, watching his brother approach the water. He darted out over the water with familiar grace, as natural at flying as breathing and always at home in his native element. Even on another world. Fujin skirted over the water's surface, dipping his hands into it and creating spray in his wake. He saw Raiden by the water's edge lifting his face to the sunshine.
"You'd be able to enjoy more of what the elements have to offer without all that covering you." Fujin said lightly, knowing the matter of how Raiden dressed being an 'in-joke' between them. In contrast, Fujin showed more skin than Raiden ever did. Now he was showing even more. Just because.
The winds swirled and gusted around the cove, guided by Fujin's hand. His control was such, that it didn't disturb the sand nor the landscape. It made the water choppy though and the trees sway gently and rustle. When his brother was ready, the wind god would allow the winds to carry him.
no subject
Raiden gives a mock-harrumph, but then lets his feet lift off the ground a bit. So long as Fujin didn't tire himself, Raiden would entertain his brother's whims today. Perhaps, for whatever reason the Q had brought him here, the Elder gods still had a hand in events here. Perhaps, it was time he reaffirmed his nature, and let himself be.
His control on his wild element always so tight, he releases it a little, and feels the comforting prickle of electricity around him as he hovers a mere few inches off the ground. Whenever Fujin was, Raiden was ready.
no subject
It was strange to see him in just his pants, rolled up to the knee. But the look suited the surroundings. He saw Raiden start to hover with lightning flickering around his form and he grinned again, reaching out a hand. The winds in the cove drew in close and surrounded Raiden, picking him up effortlessly, causing water to spray up around them. Oh he was going to be so tired after all this but gods it was going to be worth it.
"There's a spot not far from here where there's no people. We can always make a squall there. I'll make sure to keep it tightly contained so it doesn't effect the rest of the planet's weather systems." He assured. "We'll have to keep it smaller than we'd like..." But hey at least it would be something.
no subject
The lightning starts to spark through his hat, arcing around him a little more as they rise higher in the air.
"It will be nice to make a storm with your help again, brother. It's been too long. Let the others stay dry, out to sea will do for our needs."
no subject
It sure filled him with joy though to see Raiden finally relaxing as more of his element surrounded his form. It had been way too long for either of them to allow themselves to relax and be joyful. He could also tell that Raiden was helping with the flying - making it easier to carry him on the winds and didn't require much thought on Fujin's part.
"It has been way too long." He agreed, causing the wind to gust and carry them away from land. "I am quite looking forward to this!" He even twisted in mid-air in an almost happy roll, indulging in some acrobatics as they flew.
It didn't take them long to find an adequate spot away from land and away from people. There was plenty of water on this world, and Fujin was aware of the fact the natives lived on and under the sea. So he picked a spot carefully. The wind god immediately got to work (though this was more fun than actual work) - helping with bringing up some water into the atmosphere for Raiden to work with.
He dove towards sea level and then started to spin rapidly in place - the water drawing up around him in a narrow, twisty water spout. He made sure that the air barrier he created around them would give them enough space to work, but also make sure the rain storm would be small enough to not create much of a footprint. With the warm climate, it didn't take long for mists to start forming. Soon clouds would grow.
"Here, catch!" He called up to his brother from the water spout, all ready soaking wet and grinning like a young god again.
no subject
When Fujin starts bringing up the water, creating a windy mist while Raiden hovers higher up, he starts to charge the air and weaving his own magics. In short order they get some clouds forming and while there's a part of him that wants to build the whole storm right up into a proper thunderstorm, he curtails his enthusiasm and suffices with a small layer of rain clouds.
His own charge is enough though to send a few wisps of electricity arcing between the clouds, keeping it safely away from any creatures in the water. Once the rain starts to fall, and an arc of thunder crackles weakly by him inside the storm, he stops building it, and just lets himself sink below the clouds. Looking up through his hat, he puts his arms out to the sides and soaks up both the rain, and the full sensation of the tiny storm above him. Closing his eyes, his entire form is relaxed, even more-so than when he'd been basking in the sun. It's not exactly Earthrealm, but for a moment all that matters is the smell of ozone and falling rain, and he can almost forget his troubles for the time being.
no subject
He eventually released the winds making the water spout, allowing the water to fall back down into the sea. The winds gusted lustily, carrying him upward as the rains fell. Up near the base of the clouds, Fujin found Raiden enjoying his element. His winds howled and gusted safely around them, causing the rain to go sideways at times - not that he minded and he knew his brother wouldn't. The storm was small enough to not disrupt anything, and his wind barriers around it would help keep it that way. In their section of sky, it was misty and dark. Perfect.
"Just like old times!" Fujin called to his brother, allowing the winds to carry his voice. He floated contentedly on his back nearby, arms spread and let the rains lash at him as he looked upward. It felt wonderful. "Feeling better?" He teased in good humor.
no subject
"Are you?" His eyes open, a clear expression of contented calm fixed on Raiden as he looks over to his brother. He still worries some for Fujin's strength, but trusts the Wind god to know his limits, and not push himself too far.
