Now that Dr. Crusher's medical team has cleared a sizable number of new passengers for ship-wide access comes a big day for them: the day they receive their official introduction to the Enterprise. It starts with a tour of the ship and some background to the situation, delivered by Chief O'Brien.

The tour covers the main areas of the ship, and a history of recent events, Q-inspired and otherwise.

Once the tour has wrapped up, it normally falls on Worf's shoulders to assign the new arrivals quarters and instruct them on the correct behavior and protocols needed for life aboard the Enterprise. They have been gathered together in Ten Forward, and are awaiting further instructions on how to proceed. Unfortunately, Worf is still unavailable, and so instead it falls on Lt. Junior Grade Baldwin’s shoulders to do so, just as it did last month.

As he has done this before, Baldwin has a speech prepared:

"The computer will instruct you on where all cleared-for-access decks are. You only have to ask where the area you are trying to get to is located, and it will give you clear directions. Do not visit any restricted areas. The bridge, engine rooms, transporter rooms, and all command centers are off-limits.

"With that in mind, there are a few rules you must obey before I give you your new assignments. One, do not discharge any weapon while on the Enterprise. Two, do not assault any other passenger aboard in any way; that includes injury, death, or violating their personal rights. Three, do not tamper with the operational procedures of the ship. Four, do not steal items or technology from the ship. Five, do not interrupt any official areas of the ship without proper authorization, and do not invade the privacy of other guest or crew quarters.

"Copies of the Prime Directive will be made available to all of you, and placed in each room. As you are not Starfleet officers, you are not obligated to abide by this rule; however, it is important you understand why we do.

Looking down at the safety of his PADD, he says, "Room assignments are as follows," before reading off the list of quarters, their location, and the guests who will be sharing them.

"I will remain here to answer questions," Baldwin says, managing to keep the reluctance out of his voice. "And the rest of the Security team will be standing by to escort you where you need to be."

The list is also displayed on a PADD, where people can refer to it if they need to.

[ooc: Open log for building CR with new roommates and meeting neighbors, "party post" style! Rooms are aligned the way they would be in a typical hotel: odd numbers on the left, even numbers on the right (so 0711 and 0713 will be next door neighbors, while 0712 is directly across the hall). There is a post in the OOC comm where players can connect with questions and find more details about the rooms themselves, so check in over there. If you need to ask security questions, or need them to swing by another thread, just put "Security officer, please!" in the subject line of your tag, and the mods will send someone to you ASAP. The tour given by Chief O'Brien is not open for tagging; you can assume your character had any basic questions answered. ]

Plenty of people have, by now, seen Finnick tying knots with either the rope Katniss and Guinan gave him or the hair ribbon that was a gift from Sinthia. On his bad days, that's still what he does: find a quiet spot somewhere and sit and tie knots, his whole being focused on the length of rope in his hand.

Today, he's also tying knots, but this isn't like that. Today, Finnick's sitting at a table that's scattered with gleaming golden things. One of them looks like it might be some sort of circlet or headpiece made of complicated knots. Others look like little figures: a turtle, a dragonfly, lots of different little flowers.

He's got a chair pulled out next to him, a skein of golden thread wound around its back, and he's cut a length off it that he's concentrating on weaving in and out and around. When it's done, though, he still doesn't look entirely happy with it, and he gets up to go to the replicator for a cup of coffee.

When he sits back down, he doesn't pick up his knots again, immediately, but studies them for a while. It's possible he could use some distraction. Or some advice.

One moment, she was in the entryway of the manor with Piper, trying to explain what was going on to Dr. Griffiths. The next, she was most definitely not in the entryway of the manor. She was...somewhere she didn't recognize.

"Okaaaay, this is new. Phoebe! What did you do?!" Prue called. She didn't think Phoebe could actually hear her, but she'd yell about it anyway. Because obviously Phoebe was the one responsible for whatever had just happened. She'd been the one going to the Book of Shadows, she could've easily cast a spell without Prue or Piper knowing about it. Except as she looked around, and received a couple odd looks from other people around her, she didn't see Piper.

"Uh, sorry. Force of habit. Sisters, you know." Prue explained with a half shrug and a pained smile. So she just decided to move on and figure out where exactly she was. Because that was half the battle of getting back. She needed to get back home in order to help protect Dr. Griffiths from the demon that was after him.

She was in a place that seemed to be a bar or restaurant. And some people she saw didn't look quite human. But they didn't quite look like demons either. "I'm definitely not in Kansas anymore," she said as she headed for what looked like a door.

A calm and peaceful evening in Ten Forward, it was mostly busy, a buzz of low chatter amongst the patrons, people eating dinner, talking with friends, all around socialising… One might be forgiven for thinking that Q wasn’t a constant issue.

That is until, out of thin air, a tall man seems to… shimmer into visibility. The second he realises he’s not where he supposed to be, he frowns, tensing up, his right hand clenching into a fist as he scans the bar area.

“What the hell…?” He mutters to himself, knowing for a certain fact that the place they’d scryed wasn’t in a bar. He doesn’t know what’s going on, but there’s no demon here… No demons anywhere. No bounty hunters, no Source… It’s a bit unreal.

Narrowing his eyes, he looks around again, before raising his voice. “Phoebe?”

Phoebe walks into the bar minutes after Cole, and she is calling a guy’s name, but it certainly isn’t Cole’s. “Chris! Chris, where are you? I thought we were due a break after the Valkyries and everything….Woah.” Her tirade is cut short as she spots Cole.

The peaceful evening is definitely interrupted. “You.” Phoebe closes the distance towards him, and she’s aiming to land a kick on his jaw. “What are you doing here? You can’t be here.” In fact he shouldn’t be anywhere. He is gone, out of her life. For good. Not standing there...looking for her.

Now Cole wasn’t expecting the kick for his jaw… Luckily, his reflexes as a half-demon were still pretty tight; he manages to catch her foot… Just like that time on the college campus. Back when he…

Nope. Not the time to think about that. He holds Phoebe’s foot right there.

“The hell are you talking about, I…” And he stops, frowning. “We were…” Something wasn’t right here.

Something really isn’t right. Phoebe is getting one too many emotions off him and she wishes it would go away. She freezes, with her foot in his hand. There is a second of dead silence as she remembers how to speak. “Let go of my foot Cole,” she says quietly. “What do you think we were doing?”

If this is some sort of new trick….

“Not until I’m certain you’re not going to try and kick me again.” He remarks, dourly. “And how do I know this isn’t a trick? The Source pulling the big guns out to try and find me? I’m not gonna tell you where we were going.”

“The Source?” Phoebe is looking at Cole, like he’s gone insane. “Have you banged your head?” The Source is long dead, and this is making his behaviour even more suspicious. She struggles and tries to pull her foot free herself. “This has absolutely nothing to do with the Source.”

“This has everything to do with the Source, and if you are who you say you are, you would know what I’m talking about.” He keeps ahold of her foot, before losing his grip as she twists free. He takes a few steps back, tensing up. “So, either tell me who you are, or what the hell’s going on here.”

((OOC: Cole and Phoebe are going to continue to argue, feel free to interject. If you want one or the other, specify, or we'll bounce around and threadjack each other. Specify if this isn't okay!))
