A Wizard Didn't Do It

At this point, Haruto should really be used to winding up in different worlds. He's been to three already, after all. The thing is, though, he was attempting to head home from one, when he materializes in Ten Forward.

He blinks several times, before glancing around. "Hey, Nitou... Nitou?" The quick inspection proves fruitless, though it does show him that he's not the only person here. There's a lot of people in matching uniforms, and some people that aren't - so he doesn't really stand out on the fashion front.

However, popping up out of nowhere and looking confused, on the other hand...

A frown of frustration crosses his face, and Haruto swaps out a ring on his right hand before holding it to his waist. Those within earshot can hear a disembodied voice - GARUDA, PLEASE! before a small assortment of parts materialize in front of him, then assemble into a small mechanical bird-creature. The ring is removed from his finger and placed in the belly of the bird. "Go see if you can find Nitou," he instructs it before it nods and flies off.

Haruto then rests his hands on his hips, glancing around the bar. If prior experiences were any gauge, then this place was another world in need of help. Seems like his work was never done...

THUD.

Right in the middle of the Ten Forward, an auburn haired woman had appeared in a seated position and it was pretty clear she was leaning on something as her body ended up falling to the side and hitting for the floor. Her crimson sword clattered next to her. She was also unconscious. She was dressed in a crimson leather coat, knee high leather boots, a knitted turtleneck sleeveless shirt, and black pants. Around her waist and held with suspenders was a wide belt with an emblem etched onto the leather.

Come try and wake her up?

One moment, Julian had been in Ops, speaking with Captain Sisko and the Constable about Sloan's little visit and feeling very frustrated and righteously angry.

The next moment he opened his eyes, DS9's familiar control center was nowhere in sight. And considering the day he had, he was very much not appreciative of the change in scenery.

He recognized the trappings of a Galaxy-class starship, the motion under his feet of a well-maintained ship at cruising speed, and the uniforms around him--the previous style of uniform in service on Starfleet ships of the line, not the grey-shouldered ones like he wore that were now standard issue, and it put him immediately further on-edge.

Where was he, and what on Earth was going on?

His commbadge chirruped irritably when he tapped it, not calibrated to the ship's communications system as it was. He wasn't going to be reaching anyone through it.

Time to find out what was going on the old fashioned way.

So, if you thought Q was done sending strangers to the ship, well... you were wrong. Where there was an empty space a bit ago, there is a very large creature that defies easy description.

...a giant slug with purple skin, thick arms, a cavernous mouth and reptilian eyes? One of those covered by some kind of visor?

Well, maybe no so defying, then.

The creature looks around in surprise and mild distress; perhaps it would appreciate some clarification on what in the name of all stars is happening...

It's been rough going over in Rock Ridge. Hedley's band of thugs, rapists, and insurance salesmen are poised to run roughshod over the whole town. Sure, maybe Bart has his foolproof Wile E. Coyote plan. Sure, maybe his confidence in the townsfolk is absolute - they're professionals, after all. And sure, maybe he's read the script and knows literally everything that's about to happen. But that doesn't make the tension any less palpable and exhausting. Mr. Brooks is a very demanding man.

So he's taken advantage of a scene change to duck over to the studio commissary to get himself a snack. This is hungry work, after all. He grabs what he needs - a Diet Coke and some chips - and eats it on the go.

He's not especially surprised when he winds up somewhere other than the set of Blazing Saddles. It wouldn't be the first time - he'd been to Milliways and to John Marston's world. He is a bit more surprised when he realizes that this is a very different somewhere-else than the one he's used to. One where there are people wearing oddly familiar uniforms.

"Huh. Seems I've wandered over to the Paramount lot."

[[OOC: Anyone and everyone whose character might conceivably recognize the Waco Kid is free to do so. His canon comes already punctured. It's that kind of movie. (I also figure that anyone who'd be punctured by what he just said would have no idea what it meant - PM me if you disagree, and if even one of you does I'll change it).]]

The Enterprise may find herself with another engineer on board. This one unceremoniously dumped in the medbay. He's currently in a fair bit of pain from the Magog eggs currently nesting in his insides. They're not quite ready to hatch but pain. The medication he's been taking to keep them under control not working as well as it used to.

He's just going to take a lay on the floor there and get in the way.

Noriko had been in a hallway before this. She'd been mid-step down the hallway, actually, on her way to class with her bag slung across her body with her, filled with books she'd meant to catch up reading--and several more in her arms on engineering--when she was quite suddenly not.

And she suspected she was nowhere close to the Institute at all, because the room full of people here do not look a thing like the gaggle of people she'd just left. And that was disconcerting on a whole lot of levels, which is why the first view most people will get of Noriko is a human-shaped web of blue-white light that looks an awful lot like lighting--she'll be easy to see, because most of the lights in her immediate vicinity are all flickering and about to pop.

Walking into Ten Forward is a man who looks as though he belongs there, wearing Operations Gold, looking down at a Tricorder and a PADD, not really paying attention...

...Until he grunts, bringing the hand with the Tricorder up to his head, stumbling slightly into the bar, grabbing it to brace himself.

That was a sudden emotional onslaught. Going from a crew of 30-odd to over a thousand? That would cause any empath a headache, at the very least. Terzen? He's screwing his eyes up, concentrating, trying to drown out the feelings, the emotions pouring into him. A lot of it was confusion, a little bit of anger, fear... But he was forcing it back and down, before reaching to tap his combadge.

"T'Karr to Bri..." And he opens his eyes, looking around. "...dge?"

This looked familiar. A lounge of a Galaxy-class Starship? A second ago, he was leaving Engineering on the USS Pathfinder, a Miranda-class, after recalibrating the subspace array...

What the hell is going on?

When the crimson curtain that had eclipsed his sight left it, the sight that he beheld before him was one he truly hadn't in the least expected. Given the fact he was capable of sight, hearing, and movement, as well as touch he found as he moved through the room to make his way to the bar, Gold had expected to find someone with the real Pandora's Box in hand and expecting his arrival from it. He had also expected a far more familiar setting as well.

The lack of the Box's presence coupled with the strange sight around him, served to render him rather lost in appearance for the first several seconds until he'd decided it wouldn't do to show just how lost and overwhelmed he currently was. Whether or not he was truly free of the prison he'd previously been in, it wouldn't do to let anyone think he might be an easy mark due to his lack of familiarity with his new surroundings. A look at the windows decided him that the people or better yet the bar beside him was a better place to fix his sights. The view beyond the windows was a bit unsettling with the endless darkness with specks of light, much like a night sky, and while that in itself wasn't upsetting, the lack of a proper horizon beyond the window was. Thus for the time being, he settled on observing his current surroundings and those within it to get better used to the strangeness so he didn't react in such a way that immediately showed that he was currently entirely too lost in his current situation. Once he wasn't feeling so out of sorts with the situation, he'd attempt to do a little information seeking about where he was and just how he had ended up here.

To those observing the man, he doesn't really look like anything special. An older human male, perhaps a bit on the small side, dressed in black crocodile leather from head to toe. Graying brown hair resting down just above his shoulders. The two things that might give a person pause though if they're observant enough. One the look in the man's brown eyes suggests that he's far older than his apparent age, that he's seen far too much, learned too much for the mere fifty years his appearance would suggest that he's lived. The other thing is perhaps a bit more noticeable, those even across the room, if they got a good view of the man, might notice that the man lacks any semblance of a shadow. No matter the light that falls on the man, there's no dark shade thrown by his body against the bar or the wall beyond.

Three years easily becomes four or maybe five. Or maybe it's actually a hundred that becomes six and twenty, and when all is said and done, back to a firmer four.

Rory gets confused with time these days. It's hard to keep up, after all, when you're traveling around with the Doctor - which is where that four comes from. (It's that 'timey-wimey' ... thing the Doctor talks about a lot.) Four-ish years since his life was forever changed.

And it's been brilliant. It's become easier to take for Rory ever since his time in Milliways when the biggest event there - the Allpocalypse: the end of all of time and space - gave him a fair bit of perspective.

Oh, and 2,000 years of guarding a Pandorica would do that to you too.

It's also been stressful, dying and then coming back to life as a Roman, then facing death again and again until it feels like something of a sick joke. But who else can claim to have battled not-vampires, and spent their honeymoon on a starship in the 44th century, and had a run-in with Silurians and Cybermen?

Well, his wife can. Amy Pond.

The reason he'd gone on all these mad adventures to begin with was for her. It was a way for them to share something, and it became a way of life. He couldn't leave her while he went home even if he'd wanted to, and then he never wanted to anyway. She's - at the risk of sounding incredibly soppy and more than a bit foolish - his everything.

Which is why, when Rory suddenly finds himself on the Enterprise, he looks more like a man with purpose. And that's because he's got one. He and the Doctor have been looking for Amy, and this? Is just another stop on his hunt.

(Not that he's deliberately chosen this particular ship or anything, but ... man with a mission, and all that.)

To no one and everyone in particular, he asks - nay, demands: "Where. Is. My. Wife."
