Gold had been in Ten Forward when the changes had abruptly happened, after his conversation with Picard, he'd ended up with plenty to think about and had retired back to his room.

It'd been quite some years since he'd been in the ensemble he currently wore, but while he found himself incapable of removing it entirely he was able to at least thankfully shed the scarf that had been draped over his shoulders. It currently lay discarded over the back of one of the chairs.

When Jonas eventually returned, he'd find the older man seated at the spinning wheel, silently operating it as he mulled things over. The result of the spinning littering the floor beside the wheel in a small gleaming pile of gold, despite the fact that what Gold held in his hands, and was feeding to the wheel, was obviously nothing but normal run of the mill sheep wool.

Gaila squeaks.

She tries not to do that. People have a tendency to think it is adorable, and while that can be all kinds of fun in the right circumstances, she tries to aim for more professional as a general trait.

But, no. She squeaks. She squeaks, and spills her hot chocolate (laced with enough cayenne pepper to turn it pinkish) over her hand.

Then again, given her clothes have suddenly morphed in this, she has good reason.

If nothing else, she's now over six foot thanks to those heels. And there is a tiara. And...a whip?

She's pretty sure she's starting to go soft.

Rogers being around means she can't afford to take the risk of training in the gym or holodeck, can't program up a range to shoot in or a series of nak muay to spar, can't work with any of the -- seriously, there must be dozens by now -- soldiers, warriors, or mercenaries who have wound up aboard this ship.

There's only so much Pilates she can do without going nuts, but, hey, her core's never been stronger.

What she can do is sharpen her other skills -- keep her instincts honed and ready, listen, look, understand -- which is she's headed into Ten Forward -- that, and because she really, desperately, needs to eat something other than the candy that keeps showing up in the replicators, but as the doors slide open, the world blinks --

Not back to her apartment, her city, her world. She actually might not have noticed, if it had happened while she was distracted -- this suit isn't all that different from hers, aside from coloring.

But it sure as hell isn't Kate Newton.

"Oh, shi--"

Bobbi'd laugh her ass off.

Honestly, of all of the unexpected things in Sam's life recently, he's not sure where 'suddenly finding himself on board a spaceship' falls on the list. It's definitely not as mind-blowing as it would have been before what happened in New York a couple years back, but it's not exactly something he'd ever thought would happen to him.

Then again, he hadn't really thought he'd be teaming up with Captain America and the Black Widow to save billions of lives, either, so there you go.

Which is the real reason he's more pissed than fascinated at being here. Any other day, he'd probably be embarrassingly revealing himself as a little bit of a geek, but right now he's got shit to do.

There's a reason he's wearing his uniform and wings.

Or, well, had been wearing them. His pack's still on his back, thank God, but instead he's found himself wearing some kind of see through shirt with the Air Force logo, over equally ridiculous Air Force short shorts.

"Hilarious," Sam mutters to himself as he attempts to stalk down someone with an explanation.

Zinda loves Halloween.

She loves the candy, the parties, the dressing up -- once she got used to this new-fangled type of costume, anyhow, that seems more to be about fun than scary -- and so she doesn't even mind when her Blackhawk uniform gets replaced with an unceremonious blink by a uniform of a totally different sort.

"Well, hey, now."

She gives an experimental twirl, and tugs the crimson cap a little more snugly over one eye to laugh. "Who wants to play some ball?"

Pounding shoe leather was his favorite way to work a case. Even with Double, the gadgets, and everything else that went with it, this was timeless. Even out here in space. A detective’s best asset was the people around him. That would never change. It was a nice bonus they were dressed as the other legendary detective combo, Holmes and Watson (regrettably Shotaro was not Holmes).

Even with the Gaia Library on the brain, he had to stay focused. The sooner he figured things out, the better. So they were going to start at Ten Forward. First, with Guinan and the other people that run the place, then with whoever was around. Notebook in hand, he was ready to take down whatever was important. He was mainly worried about anything weird that had gone on, which of the candy they'd eaten, and if they'd seen anyone matching the description of the form Q had taken last he'd seen. Of course, trying to track down a guy that could take any form he wanted based on a physical description was probably pointless but this guy was prideful enough to want to take credit.

But that was not the only mystery to be solved. The replicators in his and Philip's rooms as well as those in Ten Forward were only spitting out candy no matter what was requested. That meant not only was Shotaro uncaffeinated, but Philip was probably working on a sugar high. And he was fairly sure there were others. That would not do. So he started at one end of the corridor the compulsory guests occupied and started toward the other end. A knock on the door --yes, a knock-- before hitting the intercom. And, if he spotted someone he wanted to talk to in the hall, he was sure to take a moment with them.

Later, after he'd collected a fair amount of information and was able to make some conclusions, he decided they needed to go talk to the Captain about this. He was sure he was already aware, but he hoped they had more information to give than what they’d gathered. He could hope, anyway. And it was a fine enough excuse to go check out the bridge. Just this once, anyway. So onto the turbolift they went, as though they had no inkling that they did not belong there.

[OOC: This post is for both Philip and Shotaro, if you have a preference, let us know which nerd you’d like in the subject line. This is open to anyone anywhere throughout the event so hit it whenever you like.]

Peggy is beginning to think the universe is playing some sort of grand joke on her. First she steps off a lift and ends up on a space ship. Then she finds out that certain people she had assumed were either dead or missing were very much alive...

Really, it's enough to make even the most well adjusted person begin to wonder...

Or to accept the strangeness surrounding her and adapt to it as quickly as possible. Which is what she intends to do when her usual clothes are suddenly replaced by a variation of the World War II era Captain America uniform complete with a version of a shield that's made of something light but lacks the distinctive feel of the original. Considering some of the clothing she's seen so far, the change in attire could be much worse.  At least she didn't end up in one of the costumes from Steve's USO show.

Comfortable or not, Peggy wants to know where her clothes are and when they're going to be returned. If this has happened to others, then the usual means of communication are probably overloaded with demands for information. So searching out the details seems like the best option and that means Ten Forward.

Stepping into the bar, she's slightly relieved that others seem to have found themselves in the same situation.

((occ: The cosplay picture is not me and I do not claim to own any rights to it. It's a lovely design and one of my favorites for female Cap uniforms.))

It's become rather obvious by now that those replicators are having issues and well, people can not really subsist upon candy alone. Thus Gold has decided that it would be quite a waste (and perhaps even a bit foolish) for him not to take advantage of the situation.

The man can be found at a table in the middle of the lounge, obviously already afflicted by the events happening aboard the ship. If you don't comment on his change in skin, eyes and clothing, he'll refrain from commenting on the changes that have beset you. But the unfortunate costumes are not the matter at hand here, no. The matter at hand is the man actually has food, real food set out on the table. Coffee, tea, sandwiches. Not one piece of candy in sight.

However the catch is, if you try to take one of them off the table, he'll request something in trade....unless you can manage to time your acquisition during a time when his son happens to be in the lounge as well. If you manage to be in Ten Forward at the same time as Neal is, the items on the table are free for the taking, otherwise, be prepared to barter or offer the man a favor to be repaid at a later date for your food or much needed caffeine.

Have you ever seen a Klingon with an afro? If your answer is anything other than a resounding 'NO', despite the current appearance of the Enterprise's chief of security, then you will die without honor. Which is precisely what will happen to Q, if Worf ever gets his hands on him.

Now that a number of new passengers have been cleared by Dr. Crusher's medical team for ship-wide access, it falls upon Worf's shoulders to assign them quarters and instruct them on the correct behavior and protocols needed for life aboard the Enterprise. Herding humanoid interlopers into organized groups and assigning them permanent residence here is not, to say the least, one of Worf's favorite activities. But he does it dutifully and fairly, despite the arcane law enforcement ensemble Q found it appropriate to dress him in. He hates holidays.

He has gathered everyone in Ten Forward to instruct them on how to proceed. As he has done this before, he has a speech prepared:

"The computer will instruct you on where all cleared-for-access decks are. You only have to ask where the area you are trying to get to is located, and it will give you clear directions. Do not visit any restricted areas. The bridge, engine rooms, transporter rooms, and all command centers are off-limits.

"With that in mind, there are a few rules you must obey before I give you your new assignments. One, do not discharge any weapon while on the Enterprise. Two, do not assault any other passenger aboard in any way; that includes injury, death, or violating their personal rights. Three, do not tamper with the operational procedures of the ship. Four, do not steal items or technology from the ship. Five, do not interrupt any official areas of the ship without proper authorization, and do not invade the privacy of other guest or crew quarters.

"Copies of the Prime Directive will be made available to all of you, and placed in each room. As you are not Starfleet officers, you are not obligated to abide by this rule; however, it is important you understand why we do.

"Now, the rooms," he rumbles, reading off the list of quarters, their location, and the guests who will be sharing them.

Deck 07, Section 4
Room # 0738 - Ezri Dax and Quark
Room # 0758 - Yuna and Percy Jackson
Room # 0759 - Marika Kato and Regina White
Room # 0761 - Wanijima Akito and Sam Wilson
Room # 0762 - Judith Rassendyll and Sam Bowe
Room # 0763 - Alex Mack and Robin Hood

"I will remain here to answer questions," Worf concludes. "And my team will be standing by to escort you where you need to be."

The list is also displayed on a PADD, where people can refer to it if they need to.

[ooc: Open log for building CR with new roommates and meeting neighbors, "party post" style! Rooms are aligned the way they would be in a typical hotel: odd numbers on the left, even numbers on the right (so 0711 and 0713 will be next door neighbors, while 0712 is directly across the hall). There is a post in the OOC comm where players can connect with questions and find more details about the rooms themselves, so check in over there. If you need to ask security questions, or need them to swing by another thread, just put "Security officer, please!" in the subject line of your tag, and the mods will send someone to you ASAP.

FYI, while Worf is dressed as Michael Dorn's character from CHiPS, complete with hair and mustache, he is still very much Klingon. So the forehead ridges are still there, as is his communicator and sash, as depicted in his icon. Still, unhappy 80s police officer is unhappy. ]

It is not a normal day for Sinthia; she's seen the costume change on other people, and considers herself lucky that it hasn't affected her yet.

That is, until she's a bite or two into eating a candy apple on her way back to the lounge--because that's what the replicator in her room gave her instead of what she asked for--when she trips on a skirt that is suddenly much longer than it had been. The apple falls from her hand, sticky from the traditional red shell. The picture might have looked reminiscent of a scene in a classic film, but only for a minute as Sinthia pushes herself up to her elbows, the ribbon bow now tied into her hair sliding over to one side.

The look on her face very clearly is wondering what the hell the costume is, and that's when she discovers the cap attached to her shoulders. "How does anyone walk in this?"
