[Sickbay]: Round One scans and vaccines

As you enter sickbay tonight, escorted there by Lieutenant Worf and his security detail, you may notice it isn't all that unusual. There are no terrifying devices or humming machines you could see in a sci-fi thriller. The biobeds along the walls are equipped with biofunction monitors, but look fairly standard. Instead of silver trays filled with metal tools and sawblades, there are an array of small devices that look as harmless as cell phones. As for Chief Medical Officer Crusher herself, she's well-groomed and kindly, wearing her teal uniform and a blue coat. No masks, no rubber gloves. The most dangerous thing about her is that maternal look in her eyes; the one that scolds you for not doing your homework, or leaving your dirty dishes in your room.
The crew makes no promises for Dr. McCoy, on the other hand. He isn't one of ours. You should probably watch your neck.
"All right, don't be shy," Dr. Crusher calls out as you enter. "Come in and sit down. It's just a scan and maybe a hypospray, nothing to worry about."
Probably.
[ooc: This is an open log for everybody. Tagging isn't mandatory, but going to sickbay is. So if you'd prefer to skip threading with one of our doctors, you can handwave that your character got a clean bill of health and a shot and were sent on their merry way. For those who are tagging, we have Bones McCoy and Beverly Crusher (NPC) on deck, so if you'd prefer one over the other just specify it in your tag. If you would like more details about sickbay, here's the wiki page. If you haven't made your OP yet, you can assume the doctors will want to see your character shortly after they arrive.]

As for Andros and Bones and their heart to heart? Well Andros definitely had some anger issues, buried deep down. They tended to come out when he was mercilessly beating monsters to a pulp. But, Bones told him what he needed to hear. Ever since the people of Angel Grove had tried to sacrifice themselves and stood up for the Rangers in their time of need, Andros trusted people a little more. It was proof of what he was fighting for. That most people were intrinsically good, and there actions were a conscious choice on their part.....which kind of made all the monsters he had beaten to a bloody pulp seem not so bad. What if, like Waspicable, they had been conned or beaten into their actions? And they just killed them. Well, that made them look kinda bad didn't it?
"Thank you. That's one of the kindest things anyone's ever said to me. It sounds like your friend and I have a lot in common." He shook his head. "There are so many things I wish I could tell my parents. My sister was kidnapped when we were young. I wish they knew I finally found her." Even if finding came with a lifetime of family therapy.

Leonard gave the tiniest smile, but it dwindled as Andros spoke. Dead parents and a kidnapped sister? What the hell was this kid into? If not before all of the trouble, then now? Someone doesn't have a life like that and end up in a regular career field. The injuries made more sense, the not looking for fights, things were coming together a little. But there was no reason to pry. Again, not a parent. But as long as Andros was going to talk, Leonard would listen in both concern and hoping to pick up why the kid was getting himself into all this trouble.
"Yeah." He paused. "Just try not to do what my friend did. I'd rather you not send someone my way and then I'd have to explain why there's a bloody man on Doctor Crusher's biobed." He flashed his eyes over to the female doctor as he spoke, then he paused again. "I'm glad you found your sister, kid. At least you have someone then." Though by the sound of it, it was a long time, and god only knew the mental state of all involved in that one, including the kid.

"That's doc. I'll do my best." He had an outlet, really he did. It involved blowing up monsters in the most painful ways possible. "Thanks for listening. I'll try not to take up anymore of your time. Is there anything else you need me to do?"
no subject
"Yeah. Just be sure to find me if you need anything at all, alright?"
And that was that. Open invitation. He just had to wait to see if Andros went through with it. Leonard hoped he would. But back to business.
"There's one thing. I got this weird energy reading off you. Nothing that looks like could kill anyone, but it's not normal for humans to have that sort of thing. You got any superabilities I need to know about or is this kind of reading just normal for you?"
no subject
But before he left, Andros looked over at the doctor as he inquired about the energy readings. Apparently they could measure morphing energy here, even if he didn't understand it. Good to know.
"It's normal for me. You might get similar readings from the other two I came here with. We're from the same universe."
no subject
Oh thank god, an answer. Normal. Just normal. And two others would read the same. Good, that meant he could log that off the list as possible human evolution in their world. Who knew. But at least it was good to know.
"Alright. Thanks. Now get out of here, kid, before I get the idea of sticking you with some vaccines."
He smiles a bit. It's a joke, of course.

Andros gave the other man a little salute as he turned and walked away--unless Bones has a reason to stop him.
"See ya."
