Enterprise's Head Botanist Keiko's Log, stardate 46172.364: My time on Pacifica was quite rewarding, and with the permission of a number of the locals, I have several new samples to study going forward... )

"Keiko's log, Stardate 46172.799,

"I have been working with these samples for hours. I have replanted all of the whole plants and have had my assistants working on properly labeling them with the information I was provided. The cuttings have been arranged and labeled for study. My hope is that Dancer, at least, will prove a fitting candidate for replanting in the Arboretum, however the evasiveness of the locals is making me hesitant. The more I think about it, the odder they seem to have been acting about it.

"And they aren't the only ones. Maybe I'm just tired. I should be tired, but I don't seem to be. I feel fine; happy, in fact. But it does seem as though everyone else has had either a little too much to drink or a little too little sleep. I understand that we are all excited to have had the chance to visit the planet and to gather samples, and it is exciting work studying them, however...

"I will be contacting Doctor Crusher if things do not change. There had been an incident on board the ship on Stardate 41209.2 where a widespread infection caused crew members to act as though they were intoxicated. We are all now inoculated against that, though, so whatever is happening now, while similar, does not seem as drastic or as quick to build. I will be setting this file to auto-send to Doctor Crusher if I have not canceled the command by 0800 tomorrow. I do not feel as though I am infected, of course, or I would have quarantined myself and my staff. It is always possible that they simply imbibed too much while on leave. Normally I might have an issue with this, but we've all been dealing with a lot recently, and there was a wedding. So long as everyone is sober and accounted for tomorrow, I will let it go. I'm in too good a mood to be angry, anyway.

"I have been working with Beachrunner mostly, though the others have been focusing on Dancer. I want all eyes on that one to unravel the mystery as soon as possible. Miles came in about an hour ago, and was so taken with the beauty of it that, rather than asking me when I was returning for dinner, he took one of the blooms to put up in our quarters. I almost stopped him, but he seemed so happy, and it was one of the ones from the tourist market. If there is some reason they should not be spread about, it is probably too late already. And he thought I would like to have it there. I have a wonderful husband.

"The only issue we have discovered so far with Dancer that could account for anything is the scent. When kept in an enclosed space the scent grows quickly to an almost unbearable level. It is pleasant, but too much of even a good thing is still too much. One of the techs has opened the vents and rerouted the ventilation system to circulate the air. Miles said even the corridors smelled nice as he came in.

"I am going to work some more on Beachrunner tonight, before I look over the Dancer notes to prepare them for the report to Doctor Crusher tomorrow. You know... one of these blooms would look quite lovely in her hair. I wonder why I didn't think of that before.

"Computer, end log."

It has been one full solar day since Keiko's last log was made, and in that time things aboard the Enterprise have grown truly unusual. The ship is well out of Pacifica's range by now, returned to open space, but things are not back to normal.

News of the Botany Lab's breakdown has spread by this point, as any are invited to help manage the issue.

This isn't right. The bar looks like it could be a bar somewhere in the galaxy (though, to be honest, probably not one of the outer rim planets), and as for the aliens, well, just because they don't look familiar doesn't mean anything. He hasn't been over the entire galaxy, after all. It's possible there are still some species he's never come across before.

What makes this wrong is that he was climbing out of his X-wing just a second ago, and there's no way he could have made it inside in that time. There's no bar on this base, either. He's still in space, at least, if the stars he sees through the windows are any indication. This ship must be at least a large freighter, too, just based on the size of it. Something like what the First Order has. One thing he's sure of though is that this is definitely not a First Order ship.

At least he's still got his flight suit.

On Valentine's Day, one can enter a lounge on a spaceship docked outside a beautiful blue jewel of a planet (which can clearly be seen out the windows), and see that it's been made over with candles and linen tablecloths and red rose centrepieces. It's not anything as grand as Q would do. Amy is using the romance of the room: the windows looking out on Pacifica, soft lighting, and like last year she's even managed to find a trio to play music in one corner of the room: flute, cello, and violin.

Walking in, there's a sign:

♥    BLIND DATING TONIGHT, 19:00*    ♥
Party to follow at 23:00*!

A ginger beauty in a red dress is standing by with a sheet of those name tags you stick on your shirt that say HELLO MY NAME IS ______ and a clipboard of seat assignments. Not all the tables are taken (the woman in charge, Guinan, insisted the room stay open for other patrons), so those meant for the blind dates have numbers tucked in the centrepieces. Amy's taken mostly tables around the outside of the room, where there is the best view of space and a little privacy.

Table 1 - Luna Lovegood & Noriko Ashida
Table 2 - Ed & Alex Rogan
Table 3 - Kale McCallum & The (10th) Doctor
Table 4 - Trever McCallum & Ishka
Table 5 - Olan'atar & T'Pol
Table 6 - General Chang & Aeryn Sun
Table 7 - Marion Scotts & Thor Odinson
Table 8 - The (12th) Doctor & Aidan Nichols
Table 9 - Islington & Merlin
Table 10 - Deanna Troi & DJ
Table 11 - Kristen Kringle & Booker DeWitt
Table 12 - Jacqueline "Jackal" Egret & Dimo
Table 13 - Bob Fraser & Cridhe
Table 14 - Grainne O'Brian & Harry Dresden
Table 15 - Thea Queen & Kitt

If your name is on her list, you'll get a name tag and a little card with your table number on it. "Here you go. The bar's open while you wait, I bribed Guinan t' have out the real stuff, so you can tell her I sent you. No gettin' carried away, though. And no funny business, you treat your date with respect or I'll have you by the ear before night's out. I'll be 'round if you need anything."

Once everyone's been checked off her list, she's going to settle at the bar and have a drink. Match-making's hard business, but each time she does it she gets a little sense of satisfaction. Once the dates are over for the evening, she's looking forward to kicking off her heels and turning this place into a dance party.

[Morning after John's New Years Party]

Aeryn is awake, and upright. This might be all that can be said for it.

She is awake. Upright. Also, there is a cup in front of her.

She didn't even argue when Guinan looked at her, walked away and then brought it back. The women speaking in low, soothing tones, that would have annoyed Aeryn if the world would stop pulsing so violently for her to be annoyed longer than the half-micron of trying to think about being annoyed. But the pain was ruthless.

Which is why her eyes are half-closed and she's barely touch the drink.
It is morning. The room hurts her eyes. She is upright, awake, sitting.

And nothing happened last night. Nothing.
Definitely not any kissing. Nothing. Nothing at all.

Do you know what that sound is?

Do you?

That sound is the dulcet tones of Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes blaring into the hall from the open door leading into Room #0144, and if you don't know "(I've Had) The Time Of My Life", then this party is for you.

Since arriving on the Enterprise, John has noticed a few things. First, when a Klingon punches you, it hurts a hell of a lot more than it looks like it does on TV. Second, that people around here have a disturbing lack of knowledge when it comes to classic movies. And we're talking the classics, people.

John's one of the lucky few who's been roomed with a member of Starfleet personnel (and don't you feel lucky, Hugh?), which means he's got a pretty swanky room. It's a little bit bigger, with more space in the common room, and windows that look out onto space. In other words? It's a party room.

If you're walking anywhere in the vicinity tonight and the music doesn't catch your attention, maybe the string of colorful balloons outside the open door will. The sign hanging from them is crudely drawn, and simply says:

PARTY!

There is something damn odd going on onboard, kids are sprouting up all over the ship. After three days it’s clear there is going to be no quick fix and arrangements have to be made. Sadly for the kids, it means they are confined to a few areas on the ship. Riker can hear the noise building every time he walks past the room that’s been set aside for them to spend their free time inside. It’s building up to an explosion of some outrageous behaviour if they aren’t given something to do. He’s got a few ideas on how to fix it, without causing complete disruption to the ship. After pitching his idea to Picard and getting grudging permission, he sets his plan in motion.

He approaches the room the kids are in and sticks his head around the door. His body follows when he is sure there no projectiles being fired at his head. “Listen up,” he says, glancing around with some amusement, “I know you’re bored, so while the ship is quiet, we’re going to do something no one has done before on the Enterprise. We are going to have a ship wide game of Hide and Seek. The usual areas remain out of bounds. .” Oh yes, he’s giving one or two people a look, he knows like to get up to a little mischief.

He gives them a brief run down of the rules. “Once you’ve been found, you’ll join the team of seekers. I can’t stay to seek myself, you’ll have to pick another seeker or two. I can hang around for twenty minutes or so if you’ve got an immediate questions about your current condition.” He steps back and gestures for the kids to begin.

Room 0718 - Genesis

Natasha doesn't often get sick, but she knows what to do when she does: go the hell to bed and try and sleep it off. She'd had dinner with her roommate (it's not as if treating the woman like a stranger is going to work, and why not) and then done exactly that.

What wakes her is Velikan jumping on her, the puppy bored and hungry. Natasha yelps, but manages not to hit him. Then she freezes.

Very, very carefully, she runs her hands over her body, taking stock. Very, very carefully, she sits up, slides out of bed, walks out of her bedroom across the living area to Genesis' door, and knocks.

If Natasha has to go to medical, the least she can do is ask Genesis to mind the dog.

She's not flipping out. At least.

Not yet.

Ten Forward Lounge - OTA

Not that a sudden influx of children are new to the lounge, but they've gained another one. A girl with dark red curly hair, dressed in otherwise unremarkable dark pants and a pale blue sweater, who is very carefully nursing a cup of tea.

And scowling.

There is definitely a degree of scowling going on.

(In the few hours after this)

Today has been a day of odd occurrences, and just enough of them to make Thor thoughtful. The arrival of the new strangers, and the conversation had with one of said strangers, had made Thor remember Orange County, a lot, and the feeling one would get there, right before something very odd had happened. Like an alien invasion, or half of Anaheim becoming Wonderland, or evil twins showing up, or even sex-swaps happening. That feeling would not leave Thor, now, like an itch at the back of his mind, and a prickling of his the hair on the back of his neck. Something odd was up.

For Thor, it had been a truth that if he got this feeling, if a day like today happened, then it meant that something odd this way came. And usually, something not very nice, really. His hand had been on Mjolnir more than not, not really because he wanted to use it, but because he had a feeling he might need it. Maybe. He sighed. Maybe he was just getting old. Having been in a coma as long as he had, and having the memories and physiology that he did, he would not doubt that.

It didn't help his feeling of something odd that he was feeling a bit run down. He normally didn't get tired. At all.

And now he was a little. Odd. This perhaps made his thinking a wee bit muddled. And so he was wandering, thinking, and passing through the ship almost on autopilot.

(ooc: Okay, dokay! Here, have an infected Thor, but not yet Kiddified, wandering the ship. Feel free to have yours encounter him in any of the open areas, from turbolifts to the shops. remember that skin contact is necessary to pass the infection, so that will need to happen if you want your pup to catch it from Thor. She's not very social.
It's not that she hasn't ever been.

She had good compatriots in her regiments on the Command Carriers. It wasn't the same on Moya. It was a small ship, but there were spaces she could not ignore nor avoid. Not remove the knowledge it was populated with only a handful of escaped criminals. (That she's just as much one of them now.)

The Enterprise is different than both. Larger than Moya, but much smaller than a Command Carrier. More than the small crew of prisoners, but crawling with civilians. On a mission of 'peace,' yet laden with weapons. But it does have some things in common with Moya.

The first. They each have a good training room.
The second. Aeryn Sun spends a lot of time there.
The third. There is only so much time you can do that.

Even if "time" is a weeken or a quarter cycle. Half a cycle. Which is why she's sitting on the floor now, looking at the empty room, every still, waiting apparatus. (The hum of the ship, beneath her, under it all, is different, too. She can tell, because the sound she's looking for, that something in her is feeling for, isn't there.)

(She knows that makes her more different than those three now, too.)

There had been many things Lieutenant Worf envisioned for himself upon his promotion to Chief of Security. Herding humanoid interlopers into organized groups and assigning them permanent residence aboard the Enterprise was, to say the least, not among them. After regrouping from their time at Alemar III, Dr. Crusher's medical team has cleared a number of new visitors for ship-wide access, which means it falls upon Worf's shoulders to assign them quarters and instruct them on the correct behavior and protocols needed for life aboard the Enterprise. He has gathered everyone in Ten Forward to impart this vital information.

As he has done this before, he has a speech prepared:

"The computer will instruct you on where all cleared-for-access decks are. You only have to ask where the area you are trying to get to is located, and it will give you clear directions. Do not visit any restricted areas. The bridge, engine rooms, transporter rooms, and all command centers are off-limits.

"With that in mind, there are a few rules you must obey before I give you your new assignments. One, do not discharge any weapon while on the Enterprise. Two, do not assault any other passenger aboard in any way; that includes injury, death, or violating their personal rights. Three, do not tamper with the operational procedures of the ship. Four, do not steal items or technology from the ship. Five, do not interrupt any official areas of the ship without proper authorization, and do not invade the privacy of other guest or crew quarters.

"Copies of the Prime Directive will be made available to all of you, and placed in each room. As you are not Starfleet officers, you are not obligated to abide by this rule; however, it is important you understand why we do.

"Now, the rooms," he rumbles, reading off the list of quarters, their location, and the guests who will be sharing them.

Something strange begins to happen underground. Those pretty, glistering crystals that twinkle from the walls and ceilings start to move, sinking down into the rock, and disappearing from all sight. In each cave and cavern, every arching ceiling and cramped tunnel, they all vanish.

The little earthquakes were putting Adam on edge. It didn't have anything to do with his life as a Ranger and all to do with having lived in California for so long. But he also hadn't wanted to spoil anyone's fun, especially when they were told repeatedly that the quakes were normal. He stuck close to Billy regardless, trying to keep calm even as they seemingly got worse, but not enough to actually cause any alarm.

That is, until the world seemed to shake.

"Take cover!" He shouted, instinctively going to grab Billy's arm to yank him away from the wall of geodes. He wasn't sure where they could take cover to, but being near a wall of sharp crystals and a rather large one nearby was hardly the safest. He managed to find a spot that wasn't too dangerous and provided enough cover for him and his friend, covering his head and waiting for it to stop.

Once it did, he brushed the bits of rock away, ignoring the stinging sensation from the few that managed to catch him on the way to cover. "Everyone alright?"

"Welcome, everyone, to geothermal field two-nine-one," Dr. Johanna Sk'Amor says, once everyone has gathered in the entryway.

The shuttlebay the group has just left is behind them, while the large entrance to the facility is directly ahead. The building is quite spacious, and despite the high volume of visitors no one is cramped for space while standing here. It's like a museum lobby, with fixtures in the center of the room and wings on either side. While the design is not as bright and clean as the Enterprise, the high ceilings and white walls give a feeling of spaciousness. To the right is the main observation room, where the convex wall making up one full corner of the drilling facility is primarily floor-to-ceiling windows. The vistas beyond are stunning: tall, grey mountains and low valleys, all covered with snow. To the left is a winding staircase that leads to an upper level, and beyond that are several labs.

"This is one of five scientific outposts located on Alemar III," the doctor continues. "At one time we had seven, but two have been destroyed by earthquakes. Alemar III is highly geologically active, so our remaining facilities have been reinforced to withstand even the most devastating natural disasters. There's nothing to worry about, our engineers are some of the best in the quadrant, but if you feel some tremors while you look around just keep in mind that this is normal.

"Two of our outposts are at the polar north and south of the planet, while the other three, this one included, are evenly spread across the globe. Our staff is small, only about ten scientists and five archaeologists, and enough engineers to keep everything in working order. In all, the entire planet only has about ninety occupants at any given time. It's rare that we're able to entertain guests.

"If you'll follow me, I'll show you some of the work we accomplish here."

[ooc: This post is open to those who signed up for our game plot only! As it's being run party post style, all characters are encouraged to tag in and mingle; since teams have not been divided yet, any participating character can tag anyone else, you don't have to stick only to those on your teams. You may also tag in as many top level threads as you choose if you're doing the full tour, just be sure your character ends up in the room where their team will be positioned for the rest of the plot (for those who will be divided in the mines due to cave-ins, the main mine connects to many other rooms and alcoves, so simply tag in under the Main Mine subheading and have your characters move around the different passageways to explore. "Captain's Log, Stardate 43517.0: After a long delay in completing our mission to Alemar III, the Enterprise has finally come into orbit directly above the drilling facilities and welcome center run by Dr. Sk'Amor and her crew. An away team lead by Commander Riker has been dispatched to see the scientists safely to their destination. Due to the intense electromagnetic field surrounding the planet, beaming down is not an option, so all supplies and personnel must be transported by shuttle. The field also interrupts regular communications between the away team and the ship, which makes waiting for the shuttles to return particularly arduous, given our current troubles with The Q.

Commander Riker has managed to get a message through to the
Enterprise, informing us that Dr.'s Sk'Amor and Nantor wish to thank us for the Federation's assistance in undergoing their current objectives, by opening up their facilities to guests for the next few hours. According to Commander Riker, they are quite insistent. Almarians value hospitality and gift-giving as signs of friendship, and refusing could be interpreted as an insult. Against my better judgment, I have allowed some guests to travel to Alemar III in the returning shuttles, where they will join members of the original away team who have remained behind. My hope is that the brief sojourn to the drilling facilities will stave off the growing unrest of some of our trapped guests, as well as solidify relationships between the Almarians and the Federation for years to come."

A ship-wide announcement has been made to all guests aboard the Enterprise. Alemar III is largely uninhabited, but the facilities run by Dr. Sk'Amor are very nice and expansive, safe for guests to tour. Someone will be happy to show them around for a few hours, if they would like to disembark.

They will be leaving from the main shuttlebay on Deck 4 in two hours.

There is a female Captain America on this ship from an alternate dimension.

His partner of the last two years has informed him she's actually 86 years old.

He's been running along the Volga River, Russia, in 1936, and racing motorcycles through places he's never seen before, all without leaving the ship.

His best friend (deceased) has arrived, a POW for the last seventy years thanks to HYDRA, and they've done things to him that have left him changed.

There's no way off this ship.

Steve's at the heavy bag in the gymnasium, the same place he's been for the last two and a half hours. It gives him somewhere to think, something to do, a goal to accomplish in some fancy tin can where he's about as useless as a white crayon. His mind keeps rolling back to Bucky, stuck on repeat, wondering if it's his fault, his dimension, his timeline, his world, just wondering if he left his best friend to die.

'For years... There has always been a mission. How do you sit still on this ship and do nothing?'

His blows fall harder, angrier, until the heavy bag comes off its chain with a sickening creak.

From the salvage vessel Eureka Maru, to the Enterprise. )

Against all possibility, his forearms landed first, catching the majority of his weight as he hit the floor hard. Even landing awkwardly half atop his own gun. At once, Tyr became aware that he was no longer being held and he was no longer on the Eureka Maru. The peculiar background hum of the ships instruments were gone, replaced by a much less discordant murmur of well-maintained and properly repaired circuitry. The flat gray of the brightly lit hallway he found himself seemed almost a shock to the eyes, and Tyr pulled himself warily to his feet as his eyes darted the length and breadth of peculiar corridor.

"Beka?" he called loudly, pulling his assault rifle up after him. Pausing to listen a moment, he readjusted his grip on the weapon, maneuvering the thing as if was not the considerable bulk it truly was. He didn't call again, either satisfied that she was not close enough or not in a position to respond, or not inclined to draw further attention to himself. Instead, Tyr started down the hallway, a wary eye always on his surroundings.

[ooc: So a heavily armed Tyr is now wandering the halls. Feel free to run into him in the hallway, at the turbolift, Ten Forward, or in any likely public room. I promise he doesn't shoot before he asks questions, especially when the other party is unarmed. Tosh is going to have to learn to believe in humanity herself. Nobody can instill that faith. However hard she's going to find it to learn, at least it won't be as hard -- or as costly -- as Jack's own lesson.

He shoves his hands into his coat pockets as he strides across Roald Dahl Plass, the breeze bringing the smell of the ocean in off the bay, ruffling in his hair and at the hem of his vintage RAF greatcoat.

Until suddenly, it isn't.

Jack's footsteps pause in mid-stride and he spins, hand going automatically to his holster to draw the Webley. The dim, warm light of the plaza at night is gone, just like the salt air and that playful little breeze. Instead, he's in a bar.

Lieutenant Worf has gathered all of the new "guests" together in Ten Forward to instruct them on correct behavior and protocols now that they have been released from quarantine. He looks as happy and approachable as you might expect, which is to say he doesn't. It is his duty, and the captain's instructions, and so he will handle this riffraff the honorable way.

"The computer will instruct you on where all cleared-for-access decks are. You only have to ask where the area you are trying to get to is located, and it will give you clear directions. Do not visit any restricted areas. The bridge, engine rooms, transporter rooms, and all command centers are off-limits."

This is chased by a stern look to all the gathered guests.

As you are not Starfleet officers, you are not obligated to abide by this rule; however, it is important you understand why we do."

He takes a deep breath. Unless they show themselves to be undisciplined or unruly, it is the most he can do.

"Now, the rooms," he rumbles, reading aloud the list of quarters, their location, and the guests who will be sharing them.

"I will remain here to answer questions," Worf concludes. "And my team will be standing by to escort you where you need to be."

The list is also displayed on a PADD, where people can refer to it if they need to.

[ooc: This post is open for everyone to tag in and meet their new roommates and neighbors, "party post" style! Everyone should participate if and when they can, so they can get acquainted with who they will be rooming with for at least the next several months. Rooms are aligned the way they would be in a typical hotel: odd numbers on the left, even numbers on the right (so 0711 and 0713 will be next door neighbors, while 0712 is directly across the hall). There is an OOC post in the OOC comm where players can connect with questions and where we'll post more details about the rooms themselves, so check in over there! If you need to ask security questions, or need them to swing by another thread, just put "Security officer, please!" in the subject line of your tag, and the mods will send someone to you ASAP.]

The first thing to catch Aeryn's attention in this whole place, beyond the need to threaten someone until they put her back on Moya with her Prowler, was the replicator. That kind of thing happens when you're living somewhere that barely has more than halfway decent food cubes on a daily basis. If that, at times.

She had been intruiged about the fact it could "make" anything.

Key word: had.

That stopped about two microts ago.
Given that she's now asked for over ten things.
None of which appeared. None of which it seems to know.

Someone should totally come help her out, or suggest what she should get instead. Actual Alien Who Looks Like a Human Girl is So Actual and so Actually Alien to the Federation Database. And annoyed. But hungry. Too.

[ Captain's Log: a Meeting with the Senior Staff. Wherein Picard discusses what to do with their new, er. "Guests." ]

As you enter sickbay tonight, escorted there by Lieutenant Worf and his security detail, you may notice it isn't all that unusual. There are no terrifying devices or humming machines you could see in a sci-fi thriller. The biobeds along the walls are equipped with biofunction monitors, but look fairly standard. Instead of silver trays filled with metal tools and sawblades, there are an array of small devices that look as harmless as cell phones. As for Chief Medical Officer Crusher herself, she's well-groomed and kindly, wearing her teal uniform and a blue coat. No masks, no rubber gloves. The most dangerous thing about her is that maternal look in her eyes; the one that scolds you for not doing your homework, or leaving your dirty dishes in your room.

The crew makes no promises for Dr. McCoy, on the other hand. He isn't one of ours. You should probably watch your neck.

"All right, don't be shy," Dr. Crusher calls out as you enter. "Come in and sit down. It's just a scan and maybe a hypospray, nothing to worry about."

Probably.

[ooc: This is an open log for everybody. Tagging isn't mandatory, but going to sickbay is. So if you'd prefer to skip threading with one of our doctors, you can handwave that your character got a clean bill of health and a shot and were sent on their merry way. For those who are tagging, we have Bones McCoy and Beverly Crusher (NPC) on deck, so if you'd prefer one over the other just specify it in your tag. If you would like more details about sickbay, here's the wiki page. If you haven't made your OP yet, you can assume the doctors will want to see your character shortly after they arrive.]

The Starfleet Federation's USS Enterprise-D.

It means nothing. She's never heard of any of those.

Which annoys her further than John knowing all of it. A feat of impossible talent. It's up there with being encouraged not to leave the premises and informed they're stuck as part of someone's frelling game. Not that Crichton seems to mind. Having toddled off looking like a child pleased with everything before him.

Aeryn's never going to understand how he managed to stay alive this long. She's keeping an eye on his back and her fingers resting on her now holstered pulse-pistol, not even attempting to disguise her disdain for the room. Not even while she's in the middle of casing every part of it and most of the people (present, and still appearing) in it.

Clint appears, zipping up his tan cargo pants. And stops, blinking. He turns back around, to find the bathroom on base is definitely not behind him.

Okay.

He turns back to face the room, muscles loose. "Okay," he murmurs to himself. He's overly aware of the gun against his leg. It's comforting.

He moves towards the bar; if he's going to get into something messy, he prefers to get a drink while he can.

[ooc: Clint is wearing military-style tan cargo pants, but a long-sleeve Henley -- it's supposed to be his day off. I'm going to be here and there, as I have a very busy few days, but I'd love to thread with anyone! :)]

"What the...?"

There's suddenly a guy in Ten Forward. Just a guy, no crazy alien tentacles or blue skin; light grey t-shirt, black flight pants, combat boots tied halfway up his calve. The silhouette of dog tags around his neck.

He blinks, spins on his heel, spends a minute looking at the other side of the room and spins back. He lacks all subtlety and almost all grace. He wears confusion, alarm, and just a dash of indignation on his face, blue eyes flashing.

"What in the hell — guys. When was somebody gonna tell me we had the bar from The Love Boat onboard?" he hollers, scanning the room for familiar faces. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? "Hello, I'm Isaac Washington, and I'll be Your Bartender for tonight."

Seriously, something's wrong. This isn't Moya.

By no means was this Leonard McCoy's day.

First the crew of the Enterprise was starting a five year mission in space with God only knew what facing them and now he was ripped away from the bridge, and not by choice. He was not in the mood for games.

But looking around the room told him that this wasn't a normal game. There was something wrong. There were people here, people he didn't know. Although their five year mission had barely started, he was given the registrar of everyone on board, pictures included. So many unfamiliar places meant, either, the registrar information was incomplete or, more likely, he was taken from the ship. If it was the latter, Jim would be looking for him. Five year mission delayed or not, Leonard would be aboard that ship.

Until then, he'd have to find a way back himself. He started peering around to the people in the room, trying to figure out the least number of people he could talk to in order to figure out what happened.

And he doesn't look happy about any of this at all.
