Prim promised her friends she'd make the effort, and she was trying. Trying to have reasons other than feeding her animals to live, to keep moving. But it was hard, so hard. Her limbs felt leaden and her head ached and all she wanted to do was sleep. But she promised. So she was trying to find Killian and Fatima. Show them she was alive, so she could go back to her quarters again. With the ghost roommate who couldn't tell her if the lack of Katniss' ghost was a good thing or a bad one.

The lack of Katniss. Tears welled in hollow eyes. Would this feeling of being scraped out and empty ever go away? No Katniss. No Mom. No district who needed her. No Panem who saw her as the sister of the Girl on Fire. Without Katniss, without her mom, in a place where they don't need medical help from a kid like her... Who was she? What was the point of her?

"Just because no one here qualifies as unicorn bait doesn't mean I'm..." the words trailed off as Trever suddenly realized that he wasn't where he was a moment ago. And then shock kicked in. The connection to his world's magical field, the connection to his world's ley lines - and being loosely land tied to Eire - had just been rather rudely cut. His mind and body didn't appreciate that very much and decided to shut down as a safety mechanism.

After taking a wobbly step forward he collapsed to the ground as if - to borrow the cliche - his strings were cut. Not quite in a faint but definitely not in any shape to do anything but fall.

The black cat on his shoulder tumbled down with him as she suffered the same effects - familiar and master no longer where they should be and no longer connected to what they had been.

After Sickbay funtimes

While he still felt a little woozy, Trever struck out to explore. Or at least find the closest place to get a drink ie; Ten-Forward. Because he needed a fucking drink. He hasn't realized that he's not going to be getting drunk from his beer yet and so he slouched in a chair watching Veena explore the area and absently rolling some dice. The black cat prowled around the room occasionally teleporting onto a chair or a table to examine things like cats do. She is very cat like except for the teleporting and thus doing all the annoying cat things that cats do.

Because cat.

Trever is also open to conversation. He does need a distraction.

Happy Birthday to me!

It's Henry's twelfth birthday today which makes him exceptionally happy. Over the past few days he's been handing out invitations to his party on the holodeck and he's currently sitting in the program hoping people actually turn up!

It's Granny's diner in Storybrooke but he's used to technology to make it larger. There's a bit of a dance floor in the middle, more tables and a lot of food. So far, the only person he knows is coming is his father. And if no one else comes, then Henry will content himself with the knowledge that a few months ago, he didn't even have that.

(OOC: No presents necessary, Henry's just happy to have people. I will be tagging around but you guys can to. It's a party! P.S. There are hats by the door.)

The Nietzscheans are gone, all of them. No Tyr, no Telemachus, no Gaheris.

Dylan's not sure what to think of that, and he hasn't been since it happened. It's complicated, in the way so many things are complicated. Now there's only Trance and Harper left. Trance and Harper out of what had once been almost his whole crew.

Some days, he misses them more than others. But he misses that world, the world Tyr and Telemachus were from, right alongside the world Gaheris had destroyed.

Because Gaheris is on his mind, Dylan's left his quarters and spent some time with one of the replicators, going through its commands until he managed to make it produce a Go board and pieces. He's set the board up on one of the tables in Ten Forward, near the windows, with the stones in a container set to one side.

He's created the board, but he's not actually playing yet. He has one of the black stones held between his fingers, and he's turning it over and over. It's a way he has of helping him think.

Soon enough, he'll set it on the board. Perhaps.

He's had some time to get settled in, and learn about his new surroundings. He's seen the lounge, and the arboretum, and the concourse. He spends most of his time in the lounge, of course, even if the drinks he can get there aren't real drinks. He spends his time there because that's where he meets people.

He has noticed the boredom starting to creep in though, and the effects of having to stay in one place all the time, and he's in need of something to fill his time. When he first arrived, he heard about a place where it was possible to recreate his ship, after a fashion. He's done some asking around, and has made his way to the holodeck.

Which is completely confusing to him. It's unlike anything he's ever encountered before, and he has no idea how he's supposed to make anything with this. Maybe he should have brought someone with him to show him how.

He steps back over to the door and opens it. Maybe there's someone in the hallway who can help him figure this out.

Prim had been walking around looking for Katniss, as usual. She had tasted some new food and again wanted to share it with her sister, and she wanted to talk to Katniss about Fatima again. She really thought that they could be friends. If Katniss could be friends with Finnick, how could she not see how great Fatima was? How could she say Finnick was safe but Fatima was too dangerous?

She found her sister, heading into their room. She... could have just waited. Sighing, she ran to catch up to her sister just in time to see a white light envelope her. And then... she was gone.

"KATNISS!" she screamed as her sister vanished. She ran to the door, to the spot her sister vanished. She... was gone. No... no.... NO! She couldn't be gone. COULDN'T BE!

"KATNISS!" she screamed, hysterically. "KATNISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Tom was in front of one of the replicators in Ten Forward, doing a favor for the crew and guests of the Enterprise. He was programming in leola root stew. And then maybe if they were lucky he'd get to leola root casserole, tart, tea and leola root rice pilaf. Really, the alpha quadrant didn't know what they were missing, and Tom was determined to expose them to it. They needed to suffer every bit as the Voyager crew. Too bad Enteprise's replicators were working and no one was forced to eat it.  Maybe he could do something about that, it would be a learning experience for them. He'd be exposing them to other alien cultures! Wasn't that their mission?

"Computer, One cup of leola root stew, hot."

Picking it up and tasting it, Tom grimaced.

"I had forgotten how truly disgusting this stuff is. Might need more mildew though...."

And then Tom looked around for B'Elanna to have her taste it. Seven should be thrilled she always stuck to nutritional supplements on Voyager and as thus Tom couldn't subject her to his little experiment.

Tom grabbed the nearest person he could find, offering the bowl. "Do me a favor. Taste this." And held the cup up to them.

A man gets thrown onto the floor of Ten Forward, instantly clearing the people in the small area between the bar and the seating area.

Carson, meanwhile, has no idea where he is, what just happened... All he can remember is feeling the heat on his back, and ending up... wherever here is.

Looking up, he blinks. Confused. He was in Atlantis a few moments ago, on the OR level, having just removed...

Yes. The exploding tumour. Had it exploded? Was this...?

No. He was still alive. His heart was beating ten to the dozen, and he could feel the sweat rolling off his brow. On instinct, he reaches behind him, feeling his back. No burns...

Definitely alive.

He then becomes aware of the people around him, some of them muttering concernedly. He smiles, nervously, slowly sitting up.

"Ah... Sorry... Can... Can anyone tell me where I am?"

This wasn't the weirdest thing that had happened, but it was still pretty up there. Who gets involved in an explosion and ends up in a bar?

((OOC: Apologies to everyone who left a top-level who I haven't tagged. I should have specified earlier that I'd prefer to not have a load of people encountering him "first" as it were.))

[Thump thump. Thump thump. With all the adrenaline still coursing through his body after nearly dying, he can clearly hear (and feel) his heart beating in his chest, back where it belongs. It's the closest he's ever come to dying, and an experience he hopes never to repeat.

He needs to clear his head, so of course his thought is to go to the harbor. The salty air of the sea has long been his refuge, and that's not going to change now. Emma had said something about going to find Regina -- who had, after all, just had to say goodbye to the man she loved. He would meet back up with Emma later.

Only instead of going to the harbor, he blinks and he's in some strange place. Certainly not Storybrooke, or the Enchanted Forest, or (thankfully) Neverland. Or any of the other multitude of realms he's seen over the years.

It's crowded, bustling, alien.

He has a feeling he's very far from home.]

Really? They could have picked a better time for it. Or never. Never would have been better.

Does someone want to tell me where I am and how I got here?

"I think we need to talk."

Deck 7 is quiet. It's 8pm; most people are either still in Ten Forward, in a holodeck, or tucked up in their rooms.

Then the door of Room #0768 opens, and Annie (pausing only to glance up and down the hallway), walks very quickly over to Room #0767, where Finnick greets her, lets her in. This is normal for them.

Deck 7 remains quiet.

Except, after a few minutes, raised voices can start to be heard. If you were in the surrounding rooms or the hallway, and had very good hearing, maybe the first thing you can hear is 'It's not a lie! I broke!' Maybe not.

But certainly it's not going to take much for the shrieked, 'BEING FUCKING TORTURED!' to pierce the alcove's quiet.

The shouting continues. Loudly. Then it stops.

This time, when Room #0767's door opens, Annie runs out, runs straight across the hallway, and vanishes back into Room #0768. The door swishes shut.

Sometime later, Finnick walks out of Room #0767 and heads straight to Room #759* and Johanna.

Quiet returns to Deck 7, as if nothing happened.

[ooc: While neither Annie and Finnick are available for actual threading, feel free to have your characters react if you'd like! They got...loud.

Since Henry's actual father appeared on the ship, there's been a different mood improvement from the boy. More smiling, more sociable and an evident spring in his step for the first few days afterwards. He's still not ready to face the holodeck again alone but he's getting there.

[ Ten Forward ]
Today, Henry is still by the window with his book and notes. He's rewriting everything he has into certain notebooks so he can hand them out to certain people. There's information he wants to keep secret so he's having to make sure it stays that way. And while he does think PADDs are a good idea in the future, he much prefers the feel of paper and pen. It's soothing.

Feel free to interrupt him. He's in a happy mood otherwise.

[ Room 0913 ]
Henry wasn't sure about his new room. While it seemed the same layout, it just didn't feel the same as his previous quarters. And he wasn't so sure about learning to deal with a new roommate. He'd much rather live with his father. But he was a big boy now and settled as best he could. Hopefully whoever he lived with now was as easy as Irian had been.

[ Room 0744 ]
Once Henry had figured out he no longer lived in this room, he forced himself to go there and knock. He wanted to see Irian again and try and keep their friendship going. Or whatever their relationship had been. He liked her. She had been civil and friendly and even concerned for him. It had been a pleasant arrangement and he hoped it could stay that way.

[Ten Forward is open but rooms are locked to those who could conceivably be there. Ask if unsure. Sorry this took so long to everyone who's been waiting.]

Prim had shifted all the Berliners to to plates and started hunting for her her sister. She wanted to drop them off with Kaniss so she could hurry back and do the washing to pay for them. But she wanted to share these with Katniss. He said they were best when eaten hot.

"Katniss?!" She called, coming up and down the halls, starting near the room and moving further and further out, calling her sister's name over and over again.

The week of Carnival touches on many memories for Magneto. Not just family history and time spent in Germany before his family had fled, but years in Brazil, too eventful to be called peaceful but at least a time he was happy for periods. And then Lorna had arrived.

At least he'd managed to figure out the replicators enough to get raw materials and in moments alone, both in his quarters and not, he'd managed to make not only a selection of pots and pans, but a small induction cooktop - not much more than a fancy hot plate, but a safe one. And since the replicators kept giving him pantry stables, he'd pulled a metal table (made from seemingly impossibly thin sheeting for the strength) outside his quarter's door into the passageway. And set up his cooktop. And started cooking.

Pancakes on Tuesday. Complete with bowls of butter, jars of syrups and honey, bowls of fruit, some fresh, some he'd cut up and cooked down, a shaker of powdered sugar. It wouldn't be difficult to get him to whip up some heavy cream. Or to get him to make something chocolate instead of normal pancakes.

Berliners on Thursday. Fat, egg-yolk rich balls of dough, fried and filled with a variety of fillings, some glazed, some iced in vanilla or chocolate, some dusted with powdered sugar, some rolled in granulated sugar. There's only half a dozen or so at a time - he's not going to waste the food, but he'll make enough to keep them around. And, as with Tuesday, he'll make something special if asked.

He's antsy and trying to calm down - this helps. More than most would know.

It wasn't the first time Fatima had been on a spaceship. It was, however, the first time she'd been on a spaceship with carpeting. She wondered what sort of fresh hell this was. It wasn't like COMPASS to repeat the same experiment twice and she figured, after what had happened on the Ishimura, COMPASS wouldn't send them to space again.

The second she arrived, Fatima knew the drill. She ducked into a corner, looking for cover, drawing her hunting knife out of her bag. It was her customary habit to pull out her communications device and listen to the chatter, to get a better sense of what lay ahead. Oftentimes, people ran into trouble right away. Only there was no chatter this time. She set the device down on the carpet in front of her, watching the little screen intently, almost willing it to spring to life. Any second now, she was sure, Cas or Morgana or Jefferson or Emma would appear, looking for her. Or Sam. Of course Sam would be worried about her.

But there was nothing. Not a single familiar face or voice. Not even unfamiliar ones. Only emptiness.

There were, she noticed, other people around. Not on the radio, but living flesh and blood people. And some of them were wearing the same funny space pajamas as Beverly. At first, Fatima figured they were just other prisoners of COMPASS, refugees from Beverly's world. Only, the more she watched, the more she realized that they didn't have The Look. There was a certain vacancy in the faces of the people of Zelien, one that made it clear that they would never be wide-eyed again.

These people seemed...at ease. Happy, even. Some of them were laughing. And there definitely hadn't been laughing on the Ishimura.

Gradually, the tension in Fatima's muscles eased a little bit. She slipped her knife into the inner pocket of her jacket, standing up and moving along the halls. She kept her communications device open. But there were still no voices. Only what seemed like casual conversation and the ebb and flow of a normal, everyday, functioning hallway. In space.

She followed it. And as she walked into what looked like some kind of cocktail lounge, she started to suspect that she really wasn't in Kansas any more.

At first, Alec kept to himself, worried that someone might figure out that he isn't exactly human, but slowly he began to realize that 'human' isn't the expected standard in this reality. And that differences aren't something to be shunned or punished. It makes things easier, but he still feels jittery in a world that he doesn't really understand.

Eventually, he realizes he needs a familiar outlet. The holodeck confuses him at first but eventually he manages to get a recreation of an archery range. The targets vary but are simpler than the sorts of things Jace used to think up to test Alec's skills.  He needs a distraction not to try the crazy shots that Jace encouraged whenever they were bored.

The bow feels like the one he left behind but he can't quite ignore that it's not exactly real. Maybe. Maybe it  is real.  He's not exactly sure. It's kind of like magic but not quite. Pushing the thought aside, Alec focuses on each shot until he almost forgets that he's on a space ship and centuries - and a reality - away from those he cares about. Hit the target. Make each shot perfect. Focus on each detail until that loss doesn't hurt anymore.

It was February 2nd, as far as Philip could tell by converting the stardate to the Gregorian calendar. And that date was very important.

It was his partner's birthday.

So that morning, Philip made his way through the ship, stopping everybody he and Shotaro knew to let them know the news. He approached people randomly in Ten Forward, in the halls, and even knocked on some doors. He wasn't planning a party; not on this short of notice, and not without Aki-chan and Ryu Terui around to participate. But he did mention to everyone he ran into that perhaps they should consider getting something for Shotaro.

And that afternoon, Philip casually invited Shotaro to the holodeck. Just because there wasn't going to be a party didn't mean they couldn't do something fun.

Just what exactly does a young boy do besides read? He could play games. Andrew had played several different ones on the holodeck. They had kept him busy.

He really misses school. He tried to study on his own but it just really wasn't the same for him. Andrew hated to admit it but he was bored out of his skull. At least he has Bernie to keep him company.

Which is exactly why he has a tennis ball. He has found a hall way that isn't too busy right now so he can play a game with Bernie. At first he just tosses the ball and his dog chases after it. For a while it keeps Andrew busy but it won't be long before that starts to bore Andrew.

The kid needs a bit of action.

As if the indignity he'd already suffered during Q's round of supposedly amusing wardrobe changes weren't enough, Lt. Worf had found himself transplanted from his proper place in the timeline last month. He is, however, now returned to his rightful position, and once again, he is the one in charge of making sure their new guests are settled in an orderly manner.

Now that a number of new passengers have been cleared by Dr. Crusher's medical team for ship-wide access, it falls upon Worf's shoulders to assign them quarters and instruct them on the correct behavior and protocols needed for life aboard the Enterprise. The new arrivals have been shepherded together, and are awaiting their instructions.

He has gathered everyone in Ten Forward to instruct them on how to proceed. As he has done this before, he has a speech prepared, one which is by now familiar to him:

"The computer will instruct you on where all cleared-for-access decks are. You only have to ask where the area you are trying to get to is located, and it will give you clear directions. Do not visit any restricted areas. The bridge, engine rooms, transporter rooms, and all command centers are off-limits.

"With that in mind, there are a few rules you must obey before I give you your new assignments. One, do not discharge any weapon while on the Enterprise. Two, do not assault any other passenger aboard in any way; that includes injury, death, or violating their personal rights. Three, do not tamper with the operational procedures of the ship. Four, do not steal items or technology from the ship. Five, do not interrupt any official areas of the ship without proper authorization, and do not invade the privacy of other guest or crew quarters.

"Copies of the Prime Directive will be made available to all of you, and placed in each room. As you are not Starfleet officers, you are not obligated to abide by this rule; however, it is important you understand why we do.

"Now, the rooms," he rumbles, reading off the list of quarters, their location, and the guests who will be sharing them.

Deck 07, Section 4
Room # 0729 - Theiorn and Aiylisha
Room # 0766 - Katniss Everdeen and Prim Everdeen
Room # 0767 - Finnick Odair and Haymitch Abernathy
Room # 0768 - Peeta Mellark and Annie Cresta
Room # 0769 - Magneto and Winnowill
Room # 0771 - Emma Swan and Merlin
Room # 0772 - Kimberly Hart and Inari Raith
Room # 0773 - Firion and Weyoun
Room # 0774 - Tasha Yar and Agatha Heterodyne
Room # 0776 - Samus Aran and Alec Lightwood
Room # 0777 - Alex Rogan and Sean Slater
Room # 0778 - Harry Dresden

"I will remain here to answer questions," Worf concludes. "And my team will be standing by to escort you where you need to be."

The list is also displayed on a PADD, where people can refer to it if they need to.

[ooc: Open log for building CR with new roommates and meeting neighbors, "party post" style! If this is your first trip to Sickbay, you may be surprised to see that it's a fairly ordinary-looking hospital. There are no terrifying devices or humming machines you might see in a sci-fi thriller. The biobeds along the walls are equipped with biofunction monitors, but look fairly standard. Instead of silver trays filled with metal tools and sawblades, there are an array of small devices that look as harmless as cell phones. As for the staff, they're all well-groomed and friendly. As a matter of fact, all personnel look harmless. Well, perhaps excluding the sun avatar, but Trance Gemini is as skilled as the Starfleet officers.

If you're new to the ship, no doubt you've been escorted here by the security team. Nothing to worry about, the doctors just want to make sure you aren't carrying any viruses or are vulnerable to terrible space disease. Once you've been checked over — a quick scan from a tricorder and any necessary vaccines — you'll be free to go. Lollipops are optional.

"All right, step on in," one of them calls out as you enter. "Don't be afraid. It's just a scan and a hypospray, nothing to worry about."

[ooc: Sickbay is, as always, OTA! For new characters: tagging isn't mandatory but IC going to sickbay is. If you'd prefer to skip threading with one of our doctors, you can handwave that your character got a clean bill of health and a shot and were sent on their merry way. For those who are tagging: if you have a preference which doctor sees your character, please specify in the subject line of your tag who you would like (Simon Tam is not available this time). There is a post up in the OOC comm with more details if you have any questions.]

There are more people on the Enterprise tonight.

How and when Q chooses to bring them aboard still remains something of a mystery. Sometimes there is only one new face out in the crowd, and sometimes there are dozens. Guinan takes note of them all, from behind the bar, waiting tables, offering words of comfort and explanation.

And, most importantly, she listens.

They all have their own stories, their own fears, discomforts, and needs. In a strange new place, sometimes the best form of solace is a friendly listening ear and something warm to drink.

[ooc: feel free to walk up to Guinan at the bar or handwave that she passes by your table! For new folks, Guinan is the head bartender here, and happy to answer questions if you've got 'em. ^__^]
