[Ten Forward]: Rooming Assignments | Round #4
There had been many things Lieutenant Worf envisioned for himself upon his promotion to Chief of Security. Herding humanoid interlopers into organized groups and assigning them permanent residence aboard the Enterprise was, to say the least, not among them. After regrouping from their time at Alemar III, Dr. Crusher's medical team has cleared a number of new visitors for ship-wide access, which means it falls upon Worf's shoulders to assign them quarters and instruct them on the correct behavior and protocols needed for life aboard the Enterprise. He has gathered everyone in Ten Forward to impart this vital information.
As he has done this before, he has a speech prepared:
"Now, the rooms," he rumbles, reading off the list of quarters, their location, and the guests who will be sharing them.

[ooc: Open log for building CR with new roommates and meeting neighbors, "party post" style! Rooms are aligned the way they would be in a typical hotel: odd numbers on the left, even numbers on the right (so 0711 and 0713 will be next door neighbors, while 0712 is directly across the hall). There is a post in the OOC comm where players can connect with questions, and where we'll post more details about the rooms themselves, so check in over there. If you need to ask security questions, or need them to swing by another thread, just put "Security officer, please!" in the subject line of your tag, and the mods will send someone to you ASAP.]
As he has done this before, he has a speech prepared:
"The computer will instruct you on where all cleared-for-access decks are. You only have to ask where the area you are trying to get to is located, and it will give you clear directions. Do not visit any restricted areas. The bridge, engine rooms, transporter rooms, and all command centers are off-limits.
"With that in mind, there are a few rules you must obey before I give you your new assignments. One, do not discharge any weapon while on the Enterprise. Two, do not assault any other passenger aboard in any way; that includes injury, death, or violating their personal rights. Three, do not tamper with the operational procedures of the ship. Four, do not steal items or technology from the ship. Five, do not interrupt any official areas of the ship without proper authorization, and do not invade the privacy of other guest or crew quarters.
"Copies of the Prime Directive will be made available to all of you, and placed in each room. As you are not Starfleet officers, you are not obligated to abide by this rule; however, it is important you understand why we do.
"Now, the rooms," he rumbles, reading off the list of quarters, their location, and the guests who will be sharing them.

Room # 0721 - Lady Marian and Stahma Tarr
Which leaves her standing in the area, wondering who this next person will be and if they'll stay any longer.
no subject
It's a woman's voice, clear without being forceful; when Marian looks, she'll see the speaker, a tall lady with white skin and a white dress, with what looks like a woven white veil covering her long white hair. She's rather obviously not human, but perhaps she isn't so entirely alien, either.
"I spoke with the security officer — he told me you're Lady Marian." She smiles, with all the practiced charm she can summon up, and bows her head politely. "I am Stahma Tarr. I understand we're to be sharing a room."
It's not an ideal circumstance, as if anything about being on this ship is ideal. Stahma has never shared living space with anyone who isn't her family or in their service — her parents, first, then Datak and, eventually, Alak. She isn't quite sure which is more unsettling: being allotted temporary quarters, or being assigned to live with a stranger.
Yet her thoughts don't show on her face; she remains unerringly polite, demure. Harmless as can be. The facade is like wearing a second skin by now.
Room # 0724 - Todd the Wraith and Aeryn Sun
Aeryn stared at her name. The moniker before it. The milling crowd.
Debating already the likelihood she'd rather take another cave in than another person.
Re: Room # 0724 - Todd the Wraith and Aeryn Sun
Being given living quarters was a good thing. That he would be sharing them with someone else was not ideal, but it would still be a door to close behind him, somewhere to be left in peace. Somewhere to go, to get some rest and privacy did mean a lot.
Stepping through the door, he found that what he assumed would be the shared living area was already occupied by a woman. "Aeryn Sun, I presume?"
threadjacking
"There are people here who have no idea what Wraith are like."
I approve of threadjacking!

When Todd isn't in the room
He barges into the room when Aeryn is alone without so much as knocking.
"You need to get out of here now."
Room # 0752 - Leonard McCoy and Neal Cassidy
He makes his way to his new living quarters to get settled in.
Lt Worf | Room 0754 Open
Marion is surprised that Trance managed to swing her having a private room. She isn't going to comment on that. Worf probably had a hand in this given he is the Chief of Security. She figures given that he is the one doing this song and dance that he must play a fairly big role when it comes to rooms.
"Lieutenant?" Marion smiles looking relaxed compared to when Marion first appeared on the ship. "I was wondering if I could have just a moment of your time."
She wants her sword back now that things are more settled. She would like to keep training.
Room 0754 - OPEN
Marion stops outside her door. Having an actual room isn't so bad. She just has to admit that this is a little different for her. She had lived out of her car or hotel rooms for a long time.
"Well I did say this was like a vacation," Marion says out loud. She glances up and down the hallway. Looks to her like everyone is getting settled in.
"Just not the one I wanted."
She rubs her forehead trying to figure out where she should go from here.
no subject
It is good that she is relaxed. It leaves less opportunity for any ... mishaps.
no subject
Still, she wants her sword back. "I've started to make arrangements with the medical staff for... my condition."
Of course she wasn't about to say what it was with so many people milling about. "I was wondering if I could have my sword back. I'd like to get to train since... frankly, training helps."

Room # 0733 - James Kirk and Peggy Carter | Open
Waiting outside her room, she looked around at the other newcomers, seeing who might be her new neighbors.

And as he paused in the hallway to see the pretty girl standing outside his room, he definitely decided this could be a problem. Or a lot of fun.
Well then.
He finished walking the distance to their shared room, and gave her a smile with all of the Kirk charm and held out his hand. "You must be Carter."
no subject
Whoever Kirk was, he couldn't be worse than the men she'd worked with in Flynn's office.
No sense of that condescending nature or any trace of superiority that she had gritted her teeth and accepted during the past year. That seemed to be something she had left behind when she'd stepped off the office lift.
There was a hint of the sort of charm that Stark had used on her but that was something Peggy was rather used to. Taking his hand, she smiled as she arched an eyebrow in amusement. "And you must be Kirk. A pleasure to meet you."

Room #0726 - Philip and Rory Williams
Though he has to wonder what happened to him.
He's waiting in the living area by the time his new roommate arrives. He grins and waves to him. "Good morning, Rory Williams."
no subject
He knows Philip well enough, having been through a couple of adventures with him and his partner now. It'll be fine. Good, even.
"Ah, hello," he returns. "Did you lose your first roommate too?"

#0719 Ahim de Famille and John Kennex
She let herself in, and made her way over to the replicator to request some loose-leaf tea and the relevant supplies for making it. The tea set she requested was quite cute, gold rimmed pink cups with little flowers on them. It seemed to be a fine way of getting to know her new roommate, anyway.
She smiled up at him when he came in. "How do you do? It's a pleasure to meet you."
no subject
He knows he's got one of them too - roommates, that is - but he's not sure what to expect and he's deliberately choosing not to care. He hasn't had a roommate in a long time, just one backstabbing girlfriend who came over a lot, and the delivery guy who brings him sushi and fried noodles.
So when he enters their shared room and sheds himself of his jacket, slinging it over one of the empty chairs, he's of the mind to be business-like about the whole affair.
He doesn't expect tea and a smile.
Or a girl.
He's going to be rooming with a girl.
Greeeeeeeat.
"Uh. Hi."
no subject
Some girls like Ahim might be worried about sharing living space with a guy like this. Ahim was not some girls.

Room # 0711 - Trance Gemini and Billy Cranston
Fortunately for Ms. Trance, Billy was now stable enough to be a fairly sedate roommate. He arrived with a small bag of the objects he'd managed to coax out of the replicator, metal clinking together as he walked. Once there, he hesitated a bit before knocking.
"Hello. I've been assigned to your room, if that's all right?"
Re: Room # 0711 - Trance Gemini and Billy Cranston
"Of course." Trance didn't have many items. A few plants here and there, but the room looked empty.
"I'm Trance. You must be Billy?" If he wasn't Billy they were both in trouble.

Room # 0737 - Jadzia Dax and Ashley Hammond
She doesn't say anything to Worf, merely gives a smile and a nod. He looks younger, or perhaps that is just her thinking, and it's not like he knows her, and so she shouldn't be doing anything that will get her a swat on the wrist, or worst.
Jadzia finds herself looking about the quarters. Sparse. A pity that Q couldn't have brought some of her things...
Room # 0731 - Waco Kid and Bucky Barnes
But he accepts the inevitable and his cool blue eyes are trained on the door waiting, ready to assess the new arrival.
